Hats off to Mike Cullen. Written without the legalistic jargon of most political commentaries, this book details the behavior of our current imitation of a president. Yes, the office demands respect, but NOT the man, especially when he acts and performs at the level of our current joke. There have been many past presidents who did not perform, but our current takes the cake. America, what were you thinking? You'd have thought we'd have learned after the first term, but...
I'm not a racist, yet by obummers standards, merely disagreeing with his politics, labels me as such. I work for a living, yet his taxes and wasteful spending are taking WAY more of my paycheck that I want to have taken.
Thanks Mike for laying it all out on the table and I look forward to reading Part 2 in 2016....if this country survives that long.
I bought this book just for the cover. I wish I could get the cover poster sized so I could frame it.
I was very happy to find that the contents of the book were even funnier than the cover. You too will find it funny, as long as you have an open mind. Obama is just a man, and sometimes he deserves to be mocked.
Proven true when the excuses amount to EVERYTHING he won't take ownership o for so many yearsf. Too pathetic to go further.
The title truly matches the subject in this one. And as the years pass, it becomes more apparent the author hit the nail on the head.
I wish this was required reading before voting federal candidates of either party.
In an administration constantly lurching from one crisis and scandal to the next, its hard to keep track of all of them.
This book makes a great refresher of what you've been distracted from remembering the past few years.
The updated version really helps make the point of how its only gone from bad to worse the longer the inmates run the asylum.
Author Mike Cullen is "a small business owner, a writer, and a computer programmer. He lives in North Carolina." He wrote in the Introduction to this 2010 book, "The first thing I noticed about Barack Obama was his ego. The guy had a messianic complex large enough to keep a team of psychiatrists occupied for years... The second thing I noticed about Obama was his whining. Even after he became president, he could not stop himself from bashing his predecessor... Every president inherits problems. The American people don't want to hear the president complain about them. We want him to put on his big-boy pants and deal with them." (Pg. 9-10)
He asserts, "It's one thing to fail and then offer an excuse for your failure... It's an entirely different matter to offer excuses before you have even tried to do your job... That is the tactic of a whiny child... I couldn't find a video of the (town hall meeting), so I'm not sure whether or not Obama was stamping his feet and pouting as he repeated, 'That wasn't me. That wasn't me.'" (Pg. 37)
He states, "When all else fails, Obama can fall back upon the ultimate safety net---his blackness... there has been a constant drumbeat directed against dissenters. Vocal critics are branded as racists, and an unknown number of potential critics are deterred by their fear of such an accusation." (Pg. 49)
He argues, "Whenever Barack Obama wants something done, his instructions to his mob are simple. Go hate somebody. He chooses his targets from the ranks of the successful. The target is almost always from the private sector... he tells us the target is the cause of our problems, and we are urged to hate them." (Pg. 81) Later, he adds, "Blaming Wall Street for the financial meltdown is like showing up for the last five minutes of Star Wars and deciding that Skywalker kid should go to jail for murdering all those nice folks on the Death Star." (Pg. 118)
He insists, "If Barack Obama went on a televised killing spree with a machete and a blow torch, about 35% of the American people would say he was framed---or he must have had a good reason. About 35% of the public will support him in anything." (Pg. 103)

An interesting carve-up of Obama's first year or so in office. There's nothing really new here, but is organized well. My only fault with the book is that I wish it would have been better footnoted, so that those with an interest could more easily reference source documents. Lastly, though not a fault of the book, it does make for a somewhat stale read a couple years after the fact. Some books thrive on currency and as a result have a limited shelf life. This is one.
